Are telehealth consultations available?
For your convenience, this practice offers video telehealth consultations. These appointments are subject to the same fees as in-person consultations and are eligible for equivalent Medicare rebates with a valid referral. An in-person consultation is generally recommended for your initial appointment and at least once a year. Video telehealth consultations require access to a mobile device or computer equipped with a camera and reliable internet access. There is no complicated software needed and instructions are emailed in the week prior to your appointment.
When are telehealth appointments available?
Telehealth appointments are scheduled on Mondays between 8:30am and 1:00pm.
Please note that appointments are not available outside of these consultation times.
What equipment is required for a telehealth consultation?
This practice uses Coviu as its video telehealth consultation platform. This application has been selected as it is safe and secure. No data being exchanged in a Coviu call is saved and the call is encrypted between you and your practitioner.
Coviu does not require the instalment of any software and can be used on Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Safari web browsers. Any desktop or mobile device equipped with a microphone, camera and reliable internet connection can be used.
Please ensure that your microphone and camera are working prior to your consultation. Perform a pre-call test here.
How do I join a telehealth consultation?
A few minutes before your scheduled appointment click the Join Consultation button in the email sent to you with your telehealth appointment details and follow these steps:
Once the Coviu window opens click Start a Video Call.
Enter your First Name and Last Name and click Continue.
Follow the prompts to enable the camera and microphone on your device.
Read the Informed Consent information and click Continue.
You will enter a virtual Waiting Room. Please wait until Dr Pace is available to join you.
How should I prepare for my telehealth consultation?
To ensure your video telehealth consultation goes smoothly, the following are recommended:
Ensure you are located in a space that is quiet and private.
Have everything you need within reach (e.g. notes, pen, pad, reports and medications).
Remove any distractions.
Take a few minutes to focus your thoughts before the consultation.
Consider this a normal appointment and keep the space professional.
In the event that technical difficulties arise have your mobile phone accessible so that you can be contacted.
